An old ceramic sewer pipe become blocked due to tree roots entering the pipe.

We dug out the pipe by hand as a retaining wall prevented us from bringing in the excavator.

The blocked pipe was disconnected and removed.

As can be seen the roots have entered the pipe and completely blocked the flow.

The ceramic pipe was replaced by a pvc pipe and the hole back-filled.
